Perfect Smiles with Porcelain Veneers

Posted .

Do you have some unattractive component to the face of your teeth? If so, consider porcelain veneers. Veneers are covers for your front teeth made of a thin ceramic material. They are very durable and shield any unsightly issues to improve your smile.

Everyone knows that smiling adds to your appeal. It’s how you present yourself to others. So, if you have issues with your teeth, porcelain veneers may just be what you need. They are a natural-looking option to fix the front teeth. They sit flawlessly with your original teeth to hide any damage or imperfection and are practically indistinguishable to others. Also, when properly cared for, these veneers will last for multiple years.

How it Works:

Preparing your teeth for veneers starts by grinding down the surface enamel on the target teeth by one millimeter. Then a mold is made of your teeth and sent to a dental laboratory in order to customize your veneers specifically for your mouth. Since it takes some time to make the mold, temporary covers will be placed on your teeth to protect them in the interim. When the mold is done, the dentist will cement the custom made covers to your teeth with a bond-like agent.
